The holiday region climbs gently from the sunny village of Finkenberg at the valley entrance, to the imposing Hintertux Glacier at the end of the Tux Valley.

The small villages of Tux-Vorderlanersbach, Tux-Lanersbach, Juns, Madseit and Hintertux are dotted along this winding valley, all steeped in characteristic Tirolean flair.
