The former Rissbacherhof in Stumm in the Zillertal Valley has recently been transformed into the 4* Natur Resort Rissbacher. Newly designed rooms and suites with balconies and mountain views are furnished with Swiss pine furniture and sustainable natural materials, while the energy is sourced from renewable resources. The hotel’s highlight is undoubtedly its SKY SPA, high above the rooftops of the Zillertal Valley, with heated outdoor pool, lounge and various saunas.
Quaint & authentic: Almhof Zillertal
Almhof Zillertal is around 400 years old, so you can look forward to being transported back in time during holidays at this farmhouse at 1,200 metres above sea level. The two bathrooms have recently been restored to the most modern standards, however, the building itself has largely been left in its original state. It is heated in true old-fashioned style with a traditional wood-burning stove in the farmhouse parlour and meals are cooked on a rustic kitchen range. Equipped with three bedrooms, Almhof Zillertal can comfortably accommodate up to 11 people.
Cool, cooler: coolnest
The inimitable flair of the legendary Kristallhütte has now made its way down into the valley, in the form of the new boutique hotel, coolnest. Modern rooms, a breathtaking panorama, fine cuisine and a rooftop pool lend a casual-cool mix to the location in Ramsau. The rooms, or so-called “nests”, all have a terrace or garden with a view of Mayrhofen and the Zillertal mountains. Idyllically situated in a green setting, those holidaying at Boggnhof in Stummerberg will find unspoilt natural landscapes and a magnificent view over the Zillertal Valley. The small and completely renovated "Leite Häusl" is located in the mountaineering village of St. Jodok in the Wipptal Valley. Nestled in a quiet, secluded location, the holiday home for up to five people is a partner business of the mountaineering villages. Located in the middle of the forest, the new Bergler Hoamat in Tirol's Wipptal valley is the ideal place to stay for nature-loving guests. Spread over two levels, the holiday home with three bedrooms, a bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen offers space for two families with children, or a group of eight people. Bergler Hoamat is the ideal starting point for tours in the Navis Mountains, which you can later reflect upon in the spacious garden with barbecue facilities.
Natural & sustainable: H ALM
Natural materials and sustainable construction methods ensure a unique holiday experience in the new H ALM on the Alpe Stalle at 1,720m in East Tirol's Defereggen Valley. The privately owned alpine lodge with natural design, large glass façade and authentic antique timber will be available from summer 2022. It is equipped with an inviting lounge/dining area, two bedrooms and a spacious bathroom - as well as magnificent views of the mountains of the Defereggen Valley.
Historic & new: Heissangerer Apartments
The history of the Kössler family's Heissangerer Farm dates back over 500 years. The ancient, listed farmhouse in Tulfes was completely renovated in just under two years, and now welcomes holidaymakers to three newly developed holiday flats. In addition to modern furnishings with a fully equipped kitchenette, the apartments also impress with a traditional wood-burning stove, which ensures comfortably warm hours after a day in the mountains of the Hall-Wattens region.
